COACH WHEATON . WHS VARSITY HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

Coach Wheaton is entering his 29th year of coaching and his second season as a Kangaroo.  He coaches the QBs and fullbacks in the triple option offense that the ROOS employ.  A 1979 graduate of Henderson State University, Coach Wheaton has spent 23 years as a high school coach.  Coach Wheaton has spent six years as a college offensive coordinator at Ouachita Baptist University and Henderson State University.  This will be his 4th head coaching position.  His wife Libby is also employed by WISD.  Kenny and Libby have two children, Cary (30) and  Katy (21).
